Trevor Byrne is a writer who has been described by The Times as 'a scorching burst of new talent'. His first novel Ghosts and Lightning was published by Canongate.
Always fascinated by stories, Trevor began writing at an early age, encouraged by his school English teachers. He won a place at Trinity College Dublin to study History and Classical Civilisations, but could never quite forget the allure of English Literature. He transferred to the University of Glamorgan to study English and Creative Writing where he gained a first class degree and awards for his writing and for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
Trevor has an MPhil in Creative Writing at the University of Glamorgan, and now divides his time between writing and teaching.
