Vanessa Williams is one of the most respected and multi-faceted performers in entertainment. She has conquered the musical charts, Broadway, music videos, television and motion pictures. She has sold over four million albums worldwide and her skills as an actress on stage, in film and on television have earned praised from the most seasoned of critics. Audiences can currently see Vanessa on the ABC's hit series "Desperate Housewives" as a series regular alongside Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman.

Upon the release of Vanessa’s debut album The Right Stuff, the first single "Dreamin'" shot up the U.S. R&B charts and hit #1, becoming an instant classic. Her second album, The Comfort Zone, remained #1 on the charts for five weeks, and her third album went platinum. Vanessa acting credits include Under the Gun, The Pick-Up Artist, Another You, Eraser and Hoodlum, among others. Williams appeared in the Broadway production of Kiss of the Spider Woman, for which she received rave reviews. In 2002, she received Tony nods for her role in another Broadway production, Into the Woods.

After a memorable stint as Elizabeth Bauer on South Beach, Vanessa landed the role of feisty, cutthroat and manipulative Wilhelmina Slater on the ABC hit series, Ugly Betty. Among Vanessa’s many awards and honors, she received the coveted Lena Horne Career Achievement Award at the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. Her charitable contributions are many and varied, embracing and supporting such issues as education, homelessness, abuse, women’s issues and health concerns.
