Alex is a writer/director for film and television.

Alex has created work for Film 4, Creative Skillset, Signature Pictures, DNA Films and Origin Pictures, and his short films have played at festivals internationally including Palm Springs (best of fest selection), Denver Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Aesthetica, Q! Film Festival, Dam Short Film Festival, Cornwall Film Festival and Fastnet Short Film Festival. In 2012 he also directed an art installation piece for the Jerwood Space in Borough.

His latest short No Pain Whatsoever, based on a short story by Richard Yates (Revolutionary Road) and starring Valene Kane and Henry Lloyd-Hughes, has just finished post-production with a view to playing at festivals internationally later this year.  This was made in association with both Origin Pictures and Signature Pictures.

Outside of his short filmmaking Alex works in development and has been part of the team at DNA Films since 2012 working across films such as Ex Machina, Far from the Madding Crowd and T2: Trainspotting as well as a large development slate in both film and television.
