Writer and Director 

Christophe is a writer director for film and TV. His debut short Discipline premiered at TIFF, then went on to win 90+ international prizes in more than 200 international film festivals. His latest short Tomatic was funded by Canal + and premiered at Locarno. He has since completed two short films Punchline and Sacrilege, both of which are currently touring the festival circuit and Sacrilege having played so far at over 50 festivals internationally and winning multiple awards. Christophe's documentary feature film, The Valley of Salt, premiered at Thessaloniki and Hot Docs Film festival in Toronto, winning award at the Milan International Film Festival. Christophe is developing a TV pilot and his first fiction feature. He was born in Cairo/Egypt, and is Egyptian/Swiss nationality. He completed a short school of digital filmmaking in the U.S before enrolling for a degree in Filmmaking at the University of Arts and Design of Lausanne (ECAL) in Switzerland.

SACRILÈGE is Christophe's latest short exploring the trial of a man accused by his local mosque of stealing money.

DISCIPLINE premiered at TIFF and went on to win the Swiss Academy Award (he is Egyptian/Swiss) along with 90+ international prizes in more than 200 international film festivals. 


The Valley of Salt premiered at Thessaloniki and Hot Docs Film festival in Toronto. Since then it has won awards internationally, including at the Milan Film Festival.
