Ella plays series regular Sister Frances on BBC One’s Call the Midwife.

Ella Bruccoleri is an actress from North Yorkshire who graduated from The Oxford School of Drama.

Ella has since gone on to become a regular on BBC One’s Call the Midwife as novice nun Sister Frances. Further credits include Genius:Picasso (Fox/National Geographic) and The Last Kingdom (Carnival Films/ Netflix).

Her theatre credits include performing with provocative theatre company This Egg at Camden People's Theatre and anarchic comedy The Noble Nine at VAULT Festival.

She speaks fluent French, after having lived in Paris for two years. She writes, sings and performs with her band Marry Me Emelie, who are currently recording their first EP.
