Jo Iozzi is a writer and teacher. A recipient of Goldsmith University’s Pat Kavanagh Prize, she has published stories in various places including Ambit, Rattle Tales and Exeter Writers. In a former life she worked as a tabloid journalist, writing TV features. Whilst living in San Francisco she developed a love for the American short story and is completing a PhD at Goldsmith where she also teaches courses on short fiction. Half-Italian by descent, she was born in east London to a teacher and shoe designer. She now lives in north London with her family. Black Figs (working title) is her first novel..
