Lamorna has completed a degree in English at Oxford and a masters in Social and Cultural Anthropology at UCL and is currently an education worker at the charity IntoUniversity. She writes for the Times Literary Supplement and TANK Magazine. As well as reviewing for film and theatre, Lamorna has written seven plays herself that have toured Edinburgh, Oxford and London, winning several competitions and receiving much acclaim.

Bloomsbury is set to publish Lamorna's first book, about life in a Cornish fishing village, in March 2020. The book builds on an article she wrote for the Times Literary Supplement, which is available to read here.
