Writer for television

Marston is currently show-running and exec producing an 8x60 Netflix Original adaptation of Booker Prize winner Aravind Adiga’s Selection Day for Seven Stories that will TX in December 2018.

Most recently, Marston has written on White Dragon a conspiracy thriller produced by Two Brothers Pictures for ITV and Amazon, and on Rellik for Two Brothers Pictures, BBC1 and Cinemax, and before that Marston was part of the writers’ room and wrote an episode for Marcella created by Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) and starring Anna Friel.

Previously Marston also wrote on Ed McCardie’s cult drama Spotless for NBC Universal/Canal+ co-created by Academy Award-winning writer-producer Corinne Marrinan (CSI) and has written for numerous successful TV series including Hustle, Hotel Babylon, Vera and New Tricks.

He studied English at Oxford and his subsequent acting career opened at the RSC and ended up alongside Ian McKellen at the National Theatre. In between he also appeared at the Donmar, set up a fringe theatre (The Landor in Brixton) and was a regular on TV, most notably 3 years as a lead character in ITV series The Knock alongside Alex Kingston and David Morrissey.

Marston’s first spec script Harley Street was produced by Carnival for ITV and he is currently writing an original supernatural script Miracle and has projects in development with Leftbank, ITV Studios, Two Brothers Pictures, Tiger Aspect and Anand Tucker’s new shingle Seven Stories.
