Miranda Hart made her mark appearing in shows including Smack the Pony, Absolutely Fabulous and Not Going Out. But when her sitcom Miranda burst on to our screens in 2009, her popularity rocketed.
Miranda has since been crowned the Queen of Comedy at the British Comedy Awards and won Best New TV Comedy for Miranda in 2010, as well as winning Best Actress in 2010 and 2011. Miranda has also won three RTS comedy awards and has been nominated for five BAFTAs, one of which was Best Supporting Actress for her role as Chummy in the hugely popular BBC One programme Call The Midwife.
Miranda's stand up show My, What I Call, Live Show was a sell-out in 2013 and in 2015 she starred in Golden Globe nominated Spy opposite Jude Law and Melissa McCarthy.
Her book Is It Just Me? was the number one best-selling memoir of 2012 and to date it has sold over 590,000 copies. Her debut children's novel The Girl with the Lost Smile is to be published in October 2016.
I know people become 'celebs' from no experience but seems odd that some actors become famous and then called 'celebs' and knocked for it.
