Richard
Webb

Producer for television

Richard is a hugely experienced, BAFTA award winning television producer, specialising in comedy.

His latest project, The Curse, sees Tom Davis join forces with the People Just Do Nothing team in a period comedy crime caper, sent in the early 80s, which launches on Channel 4 in early 2022.

Starting out at the Paramount Channel in the mid nineties, he moved to the BBC where he worked on early projects with Matt Lucas and David Williams and Simon Munnery’s cult hit Attention Scum, where he started his long collaboration with Stewart Lee. Richard went on to produce all four series of Stewart’s Comedy Vehiclewhich won both a BAFTA  and a British Comedy Award for Best Comedy.

Along the way Richard has worked with a roll call of British comic talent - from Nick Frost and Simon Pegg to Clement and La Frenais, Vic and Bob to Marks and Gran and a frightening number of others.

He lives in South London and supports Crystal Palace. Which is proof of broad shoulders if nothing else.
