Sadbh Kellett was born and raised in Co. Meath, Ireland. She studied her BA in English at Trinity College Dublin followed by her MLitt in Modern and Contemporary Culture and Literature at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Currently, she is working on her PhD in Gaelic mythology in Modern Irish and Scottish literature at the University of St. Andrews.

Kellett’s current novel-in-progress Hunt the Hare was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction’s Discoveries Award 2022. In the summer of 2021, she was awarded Meath County Council’s Professional Artists Development Fund to work on the first draft. Her other prose and poetry has featured at Ireland’s Culture Night 2021, at the Out of Orbit virtual arts festival, and in journals and anthologies such as Poems from Pandemia, Sonder Magazine, and Paper Lanterns.
