Tom has directed two series of the acclaimed BBC comedy This Country.
The show won three RTS Awards including Best Scripted Comedy, Best Comedy Writer and Best Performance (for Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper). It has received critical acclaim with The Independent writing: 'it raises the comedic genre almost to an art form'.
Tom’s previous credits include Hank Zipzer (International Emmy nominee) and Limbo for Hat Trick Productions and BBC. His short film, an understated black-comedy, Mickey & Michaela Bury Their Dad won the 2014 LOCO London Comedy Film Festival award for Best Short.
Tom likes to combine directing with writing, story design and script editing wherever possible and according to the needs of each project.
