A.J. Finn's Woman In The Window adapted for film

A.J. Finn’s twisty Hitchcockian thriller The Woman In The Window is set to be adapted for film directed by Joe Wright.

A.J. Finn’s chilling novel centres on the reclusive Dr. Anna Fox, who spends her days hold up in her New York City brownstone, chatting online to strangers, watching old movies, drinking too much wine, and keeping tabs on her neighbours. Anna eventually witnesses something she shouldn’t have while spying on the Russell family, the seemingly perfect family living across the street. This novel has been a best seller since its release in January 2018.

Joe Wright will direct The Woman In The Window, Tracy Letts will write the script, and Scott Rudin along with Eli Bush will produce the film.

Wright has demonstrated a particular affinity for literary projects throughout his career, adapting the likes of Pride & Prejudice, Atonement and Anna Karenina. Wright last directed the Winston Churchill biopic Darkest Hour, which earned critical and commercial acclaim, earning a Best Picture nomination and a Best Actor win for Gary Oldman at the 90th Academy Awards.
