Big Little Lies triumphs at the Emmys

Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies, the limited series produced by HBO, adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name, has triumphed at the 2017 Emmy Awards.

The series won five awards: Best limited series, Best Actress in a limited series or movie for Nicole Kidman, Supporting actress in a limited series or movie for Laura Dern, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a limited series or TV movie for Alexander Skarsgard and Outstanding Directing for a limited series, movie or dramatic special for Jean-Marc Vallée. Liane served as a producer on the HBO series.

Originally published in 2014, Big Little Lies follows three women, each at a crossroads. It is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

Liane’s latest book, Truly Madly Guilty, was published in 2016.
