Curtis Brown Creative launches new Edit & Pitch your novel course

Following the success of its six-week Starting to Write Your Novel and Write to the End of Your Novel online courses, Curtis Brown Creative, the UK’s only writing school to be led by literary agents, is to launch a brand-new £200 course open to all writers: Edit & Pitch Your Novel.

The six-week Edit & Pitch Your Novel course begins on October 19th and is for those who have written a complete novel, and are looking for advice on how to edit and polish it – then pitch it to literary agents and publishers. Using teaching videos, notes, writing tasks and resources, Curtis Brown Creative’s Director Anna Davis (above) helps writers review their complete draft, identify issues to be remedied, and fix them through the rewriting process. She then offers advice on preparing a compelling pitch – including how to write a synopsis and agent's letter. This course also features video pitching tips from Curtis Brown and C+W literary agents.

Curtis Brown Creative has seen 34 of its former students go on to secure major publishing deals, including Curtis Brown and C+W clients Kate Hamer (The Girl in the Red Coat), Nicholas Searle (The Good Liar), Janet Ellis (The Butcher’s Hook), Laura Marshall (Friend Request) and Jane Harper (The Dry). On its longer courses, Curtis Brown Creative finds talented writers through a selective application process and helps them to get the best out of their novels-in-progress.
