I See You, the second novel by Clare Mackintosh, is number one in The Sunday Times Bestseller hardback chart. Released on 28th July, the thriller is the hotly-anticipated follow-up to I Let You Go which won the Theakstons Crime Novel of the Year Award 2016.
I See You tells the story of Zoe Walker who sees her photo in the classifieds section of a London newspaper and is determined to find out why it’s there. There’s no phone number, no website: just a grainy image and a phone number. She takes it home to her family, who are convinced it’s just someone who looks like Zoe. But the next day the advert shows a photo of a different woman, and another the day after that. Is it a mistake? A coincidence? Or is someone keeping track of every move they make . . .
Liane Moriarty’s Truly, Madly, Guilty is at number 10 in the hardback listings. The author of six internationally best-selling novels including The Hypnotist’s Love Story, What Alice Forgot and The Husband’s Secret, Moriarty’s most recent novel has already hit the number one spot in Australian chart.
In the paperback listings, Jojo Moyes continues her bestseller success; global phenomenon and box-office hit Me Before You is at number three for the combined sales of both the original and film tie-in editions while the sequel, After You, is at number two.
