Curtis Brown authors longlisted for 2021 Orwell Prize

Curtis Brown authors Nesrine Malik, Jack Shenker, John Kampfner and Gary Younge have been longlisted for the 2021 Orwell Prize across several categories.

The Orwell Prizes are the UK’s most prestigious prizes for political writing. Every year, The Orwell Foundation awards prizes for the work which comes closest to George Orwell’s ambition ‘to make political writing into an art’.

John Kampfner's Why the Germans Do It Better: Notes from a Grown-Up Country has been longlisted for the Political Writing Prize.

Nesrine Malik, Jack Shenker and Gary Younge have been longlisted for the Journalism Prize.

The full longlists can be found here. Shortlists will be published around mid-May 2021.
