Everybody's Talking About Jamie film premieres in London

Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the film adaptation of the hit-West End musical directed by Jonathan Buttrell, will premiere on Monday 13th September 2021 in London's West End.

Richard E. Grant delivers an 'unforgettable' (Variety) performance as drag queen legend 'Loco Chanelle' and mentor to Jamie. He is joined by Lauren Patel as Jamie's supportive best friend Pritti, Shobna Gulati as Ray, Zion Battles as Levi, and Kazmin Borrer as Blythe. Talia Palamathanan and Ellis Brownhill star as Jamie's classmates, with Layton Williams featuring in Kate Prince's choreography.

The groundbreaking feel-good musical is based on the true story of Jamie Campbell, a working-class teenager who battles prejudice to fulfil his dreams of becoming the drag queen star 'Mimi Me'. This new film is created by the same team as the original stage musical, which was developed in Jamie's home town of Sheffield by Jonathan Buttrell with composer Dan Gillespie and book and lyrics writer Tom MacRae.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is an Amazon Studios release presented in association with Regency Entertainment, Film 4 of a New Regency, and Warp Films. It will be available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video from 17th September 2021.
