Fay Rusling & Oriane Messina’s Brief Encounters Premieres on ITV

Created and written by Fay Rusling and Oriane Messina, Brief Encounters premieres Monday 4th July on ITV at 9pm.

Set in early 1980s Britain, the series follows the early days of the business empire Ann Summers, through the lives of four women from Sheffield as they discover the empowerment and financial rewards sumptuous lingerie and marital aids can bring. Inspired by Ann Summers CEO, Jacqueline Gold’s memoir Good Vibrations, the six part series, produced by CPL Productions, offers a female ensemble cast led by Sophie Rundle, Angela Griffin, Penelope Wilton and Sharon Rooney, set to a soundtrack comprised by some of the 1980’s greatest hits.

Fay and Oriane’s previous credits include their series Me and Mrs Jones with Hartswood Film and Television for BBC1, the multi-award winning comedy, Green Wing for Channel 4, and Campus with Monicker Pictures for Channel 4.

Brief Encounters will air on ITV every Monday at 9pm from the 4th July, and will be available on ITVPlayer.
