Marie Pavlenko shortlisted for two prizes

Marie Pavlenko's La Plus Belle Crotte du Monde, published in 2020 by Little Urban in France, has been shortlisted for the Prix des Jeunes Lecteurs de Nanterre in the children’s category.

Marie is the bestselling and award-winning author of Je Suis Ton Soleil and Et Le Désert Disparaîtra.

The Prix des Jeunes Lecteurs de Nanterre/Nanterre’s Young Readers Prize is run by the city in partnership with national education and sees more than 8,000 young students take part each year to vote for the winners. The prize aims to encourage a love of reading from a young age and to allow students to discover new and recently published children’s books. 

This year’s results will be announced Saturday 11th June 2022.

La Plus Belle Crotte du Monde has also been shortlisted for the 2022 Prix Escapages in the 4+ category. The results will be announced Saturday 21st May 2022.

The Prix Escapages was created in Indre, in France, in order to foreground the essential role of children's and adult literature and to introduce young and old to the pleasure of reading.
