My Name is Leon adapted by Shola Amoo airs on BBC 2

My Name is Leon, adapted for TV by Shola Amoo and starring Shobna Gulati as Salma, airs on BBC 2 Friday 9th June at 9pm. 

The 90 minute film follows Leon, a mixed-race boy and Jake, his white baby brother in 1980s Birmingham. The two are separated after their mother has a breakdown. Leon is determined to find him and gets unexpected support along the way.

The single is produced by Douglas Road in association with Tiger Aspect, and is adapted from the novel of the same name, written by Kit de Waal.
