Richard Ford has won the Premio Lettura Prize

Richard Ford has won the Italian Premio Lettura prize for his memoir Between Them. Awarded annually, the Premio Lettura prize is judged by a jury of hundreds of writers, artists, editors, and collaborators of the Corriere della Sera, the daily newspaper who sponsors the award.

The prize will be awarded on February 8th at the Teatro dell’Arte in Milan where Richard Ford will discuss with Sandro Veronesi, author of Quiet Chaos, the most significant aspects of his writing and works.

Between Them, published by HarperCollins in May 2017, has already sold in 13 languages and was met with critical acclaim, with Publisher’s Weekly stating ‘every page of this little remembrance teems with Ford’s luxuriant prose, his moving and tender longing for his parents, and his affecting and intimate portrait of two people simply living life as best they can as their world changes around them.’
