Royal Television Society Awards 2020

Curtis Brown talents London Hughes, Ncuti Gatwa and Gareth Malone were among the winners at the Royal Television Society Awards 2020.

The Entertainment Performance award winner was London Hughes for her “unique style, great energy and infectious personality” in the brillaint Don’t Hate the Playaz on ITV 2.

Ncuti Gatwa won in the Male Comedy Performance category for his iconic role as ‘Eric Effiong’ in Netflix’s Sex Education, giving a performance that combined ‘slapstick and big comic set pieces with buckets of emotion and heart’.

Gareth Malone’s moving BBC 2 documentary, The Choir: Our School By The Tower, swept up an award for its’ “genuine insight into lives that we rarely see captured so vividly and so carefully on television” in the Documentary Series category.
