Scottee enters The Rainbow List

The Independent’s annual celebration of the 101 most influential lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people in Britain has been revealed and Scottee joins the list.

The Rainbow List 2015 is now in its 16th year and saw nine judges take more than seven hours to decide who would appear this year. Asifa Lahore was one of the nine judges, selected following the ground-breaking documentary Muslim Drag Queen which had an incredible impact on attitudes and understanding of LGBT and the Muslim faith.

Scottee entered the list at Number 77 and was noted for his  pioneering Radio 4 broadcast of My Big Fat Documentary earlier this year and as an ambassador for Gendered Intelligence.

Scottee is an artist from Kentish Town, London and associate artist at London’s iconic Roundhouse and is best known for his work about ‘outsiderness’. He has performed for audiences across the globe and he is a regular contributor on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends as well as VICE's i-D
