​Southbank Centre launches William Boyd and Nelson Mandela

The Southbank Centre will host events at the Royal Festival Hall to launch Nelson Mandela and Mandla Langa’s Dare Not Linger: The Presidential Years and William Boyd’s The Dreams of Bethany Mellmoth.

As part of the London Literature Festival on 22 October 2017, ‘Nelson Mandela: The Presidential Years’, sees a cast of influential writers and speakers such as the book’s co-author Mandla Langa, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Lemn Sissay launching the long-awaited sequel to Long Walk to Freedom.

On 6 November 2017, ‘The Many Fictions of William Boyd’ explores Boyd’s extensive body of work since 1981, and concludes with an exclusive reading from his latest book The Dreams of Bethany Mellmoth.
