Specsavers National Book Awards 2018 shortlist announced

After a three-year hiatus, The National Book Awards have returned, and a large selection of Curtis Brown authors have been included in this year’s shortlist.
The Popular Fiction category features best-selling books Faking Friends by Jane Fallon, The Break by Marian Keyes and Still Me by Jojo Moyes.

Chart-topping memoir, This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay and Cold War espionage thriller, The Spy and The Traitor by Ben Macintyre compete for the Popular Non-Fiction award.

Imogen Hermes Gowar’s bestselling debut The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock is in the running for the New Writers category alongside a second nomination for This is Going to Hurt.

Sue Perkins’ memoir, East of Croydon, has been recognised in Biography and Autobiography while Force of Nature by Australian author Jane Harper competes in the International Author category.

The winners will be announced Tuesday 20th November in a ceremony hosted by Zoe Ball.
