The Durrells goes global

The Durrells, ITV’s charming adaptation of Gerald Durrell’s autobiographical books about his family’s life on the Greek island of Corfu in the 1930s, is going global.

Set to screen in countries around the world including Iceland, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Denmark, Sweden, Greece and the Middle East, The Durrells was ITV’s best-rating new drama of the year and its highest rating new show since September 2014. Adapted by Simon Nye and produced by Sid Gentle Films, The Durrells has won critical and popular praise. Filming on the second season will take place later this year in Corfu.

The Corfu Trilogy comprises My Family and Other Animals, Birds, Beasts and Relatives and The Garden of the Gods
