The Job Lot returns for Series 2

The cast of Birmingham based sitcom The Job Lot return to our screens for a second series on Wednesday 24th September.

Sophie McShera reprises her role as series-regular Bryony, the unemployed local girl who will do anything in her power to not get a job. Best known for her role as Daisy the kitchen maid in Downton Abbey, Sophie will soon be seen as Cate Blanchett’s daughter in Kenneth Branagh's feature Cinderella.

Mark Benton makes a guest appearance in episode six as Gary a job centre employee from the Kingstanding job centre who visits Trish and her team with his colleagues for a ‘Healthy Staff Happy Staff’ training day. Mark has just finished playing the title role in Nadia Fall’s production of Hobson’s Choice at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre.

Bill Milner plays the role of Michael, the new work experience boy at the Job Centre team on work experience. Bill has just finished the West End run and tour of Another Country and recently appeared in The 7:39 for BBC One alongside Olivia Colman, and the feature film Locke playing Tom Hardy’s son.

The Job Lot series two, directed by Luke Snellin, begins on Wednesday 24th September at 10:00pm.
