Daniel Monks stars as Mickey Marcus in The Normal Heart, which has opened at The National Theatre 35 years after its explosive UK premiere.
Larry Kramer's ground-breaking play centres around the 1980s AIDS crisis in New York City. As fear and confusion turn to rage and division, writer and activist Ned Weeks (played by Ben Daniels) sets out to unite the community in their fight for recognition and the right to survive.
The Normal Heart is directed by Dominic Cooke and runs from the 23rd of September until the 6th of November.
