Assistant - Book Department

We are looking for an assistant to support the busy office of literary agent and senior company director Jonathan Lloyd.

Our ideal candidate will be friendly, confident and positive with excellent administrative skills. You must have at least 1 year’s previous office experience, preferably gained within publishing or similar arts organisation.  Please note that this is not an entry level position.

We need someone organised and meticulous about detail who can work under pressure to meet deadlines. You should also be a clear, confident communicator with an excellent phone manner as you will be acting as first point of contact for Jonathan’s office dealing with clients and industry professionals on a regular basis.
In this role, the ability to work independently is essential and you must be happy to work unsupervised. 

You should have a flexible, adaptable approach to your work, being able to use your initiative to prioritise and re-prioritise tasks as necessary. Jonathan represents many of the UKs most exciting, highly-respected and high-profile authors and this is a fascinating role for someone with the right experience.
