Assistant to Agent, Theatre Film & TV (TFTV) Department 

We’re looking for an experienced assistant with excellent communication and administrative skills, and a ‘can do’ team-player attitude to join our Theatre, Film and TV Department.  This role works with a senior agent, supporting the agent’s client list, but also supporting that agent’s running of the TFTV department. 

We want someone with knowledge of the film and television industry who wants to continue building their relationships across the industry. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working towards being an agent, but this isn’t a must. The most important thing is someone who sees this as a genuine opportunity to build their career whilst giving at least two years to the assistant role.

Promotion of the clients’ work, seeking out new opportunities for them both here in the UK and internationally, and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does, so the successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive knowledge of clients' work.

You’ll be providing dedicated client care to an impressive list of writers, directors and producers with confidence and professionalism, while offering comprehensive support to the agent. This role requires a clear and confident communicator, and someone with a pro-active approach to problem solving. You also need to be an efficient and organised multi-tasker, able to prioritise tasks across a varied workload.

Curtis Brown Creative (CBC) Writing School - ECommerce Manager

Our sister company Curtis Brown Creative has an exciting opportunity for an ECommerce Manager to join them in a newly created position to play a key role in the expansion of their online business.

They're looking for someone to take on the day-to-day running and relentless
improvement of the Curtis Brown Creative website – encompassing proposition, sales, optimisation and UX. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role also works closely with CBC's website developer/designer, digital marketing consultant and the small team of full-time employees at CBC. The ECommerce Manager will be given significant responsibility from the outset and encouraged to make the CBC website their own.

Required Experience and Skills:

    •    You’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in an ECommerce trading and optimisation role.
    •    Analytical by nature
    •    Digitally native with relevant technical expertise
    •    Enthusiastic to work in a small team – drawn to the flexibility, pace and creativity this enables – and confident to work without large-scale corporate support & strictures
    •    Artistic and linguistically creative with the ability to write engaging, tailored copy
    •    An innovative thinker with the desire to keep learning
    •    Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

You'll be based at CBC's central London offices in Haymarket as part of a team of five permanent employees (plus freelancers) and will be engaging with the wider world of writing. This is a full-time role - or potentially four days/week (subject to discussion). Salary will depend on experience.
